An exciting opportunity exists for an Executive and Legal Support Officer on an ongoing basis with Domestic Building Dispute Resolution Victoria (DBDRV).
About us
The Domestic Building Dispute Resolution Victoria (DBDRV) is a business unit within the Regulation division within the Department of Justice and Regulation. The functions of the DBDRV include assessment of referrals, technical building assessments, conciliation of disputes, records of agreement, dispute resolution orders and compliance investigations.
About the role
As the Executive and Legal Support Officer, you will provide high level, confidential executive support and coordination to the Chief Dispute Resolution Officer (CDRO) and Deputy Chief Dispute Resolution Officer.
In the role, you will:
- manage internal and external enquiries into the office, correspondence and complaint management coordination, briefings, event administration and records management
- ensure the daily operations of the CDRO office and the Legal Team are conducted in an effective and efficient manner
- provide secretariat support at executive meetings and committees including coordination of papers, minute taking and action item reporting
- have key responsibility in coordinating and reporting on the submissions process associated with the domestic building assessment reports by DBDRV technical assessors.
About you
As our ideal candidate, you will have:
- an ability to prepare and coordinate timely and high quality documents, in accordance with Departmental and DBDRV guidelines and processes
- strong interpersonal skills and an ability to establish effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- high levels of integrity, and sensitivity in working with confidential information
- appropriate executive support and office management experience
- intermediate to advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office suite, Lotus Notes, TRIM (or similar) document management system.
