A solicitor with either litigation or costs experience is needed for a maternity leave cover contract role working 3 days a week for a 10 month period at this well regarded corporate body.

This is a wide and varied job share role which will see the successful applicant advising on a range of costs and debt recovery matters.  Responsibilities of the role include:

• Advising practitioners on costs matters;
• Assisting in obtaining settlement or determination of costs disputes;
• Keeping up to date with legal developments and procedures relating to costs;
• Maintaining internal and external relationships;
• Recovery of costs owing including commencing proceedings for unpaid costs;
• Presenting papers on costs to law practices and other seminars attended by practitioners;
• Any special projects as requested from time to time.

This role will suit a confident self starter with strong communication skills, solid litigation or costs experience and someone who is able to work both autonomously and within a team setting.  This contract role offers the opportunity to work part time within a friendly, collaborative and relaxed team culture.
