We practice in all aspects of funds management and financial services including in the areas of retail funds, institutional funds, listed funds, ETFs, private equity funds, property funds, infrastructure funds, investment structures, investment mandates, funds M&A , fund restructures, superannuation and financial services regulation. 

Your Role

Our Funds Management & Financial Services Team has experienced significant growth in recent years and is now looking to grow its team to support its current strategic growth plan.  A number of excellent opportunities exist for Senior Associates, Senior Lawyers and Lawyers to join our growing funds management team as we continue to work on challenging and innovative investment product launches and funds transactions.

In this role, you will advise major Australian and global fund managers on establishing, structuring, promoting and marketing funds, as well as fund related M&A, fund restructures and funds management and regulatory issues. You will advise on institutional funds, retails funds, fund restructures, investment mandates, property trusts, managed investment schemes, alternate investments, ETFs, listed investment companies, private equity funds. structured products and financial services regulation.

What You Need

We are seeking a number of talented corporate/M&A or funds Senior Associates, senior lawyers and/or lawyers across a range of experience and expertise.  You can be either a general corporate/M & A lawyer with an interest in and exposure to funds and funds management work, or an experienced funds lawyer.

We are interested in talking to Australian or overseas lawyers with the following:

• experience at a law firm or in-house legal role specialising in general corporate, M&A, investment management or funds
• experience in or exposure to advising on funds management, structuring and/or establishment
• a client focused approach and a demonstrated ability to form enduring relationships with peers, clients and industry contacts
• a genuine interest in developing your career in the corporate transactional and funds management space
• ability to thrive in a highly collaborative team environment
• a commitment to excellence that matches our own
