The Role:
This role is based in one of the leading transport practices in Australia with a reputation that extends internationally. The role requires initiative partly because of the complexity of matters but also because within this practice your involvement is not ‘behind the scenes’. A desire to be client facing and to be involved in strategy and planning discussions as well as preparational work is required.
Matters:
Working on matters across three highly respected Partners the work will have a focus on P&I club, shipping and trade work, federal court and personal injury. A listing of recent matters is available on request.

The firm has reengineered their performance management system to ensure that Lawyers are not held back in remuneration or title increases due to rigid banding. By doing so it has attracted high performing lawyers from top tier and international firms. This has resulted in raising the technical ability of the firm as well as creating career paths for those eager to progress at a pace that suits them. If rigid banding or a lack of flexibility frustrates you at your current firm its worth having a comparative conversation with this firm.
Requirements for the role:
With 2-4 years PQE you will ideally bring both back-end and front transport experience, however those with a complex personal injury background and a desire to specialise are encouraged to apply.
