An exciting new opening has arisen for a recently admitted or junior lawyer (with 2-5 years PQE) lawyer to gain invaluable experience as part of a successful boutique financial services compliance and legal firm in Sydney.

You will support the team and perform the following key duties:

·       Drafting of documents in relation to Australian Financial Services License (AFSL) and Australian Credit Licence (ACL) licensing and compliance

·       Preparation of registration applications for remitters and digital currency (including cryptocurrency and bitcoin) exchange providers

·       Drafting and updating compliance and legal precedents in accordance with regulatory and legislative changes

·       Assisting senior staff members in the preparation of various legal documents and agreements

·       Assisting senior staff with ongoing compliance and legal requirements of clients

·       General administrative tasks including answering calls

·       Preparation and filing of a variety of documents with courts and regulators

·       Liaising with clients at request of senior staff members

You will:

·       admitted as a solicitor in New South Wales

·       have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal as well as strong interpersonal skills

·       have strong attention to detail

·       be team-focused but also able to work independently

·       be proactive and have a positive and energetic approach with a commitment to providing excellent service

·       strong academic record and a genuine interest in developing your career in the legal industry

·       have experience in a legal setting
