Gillian Beaumont Legal has been engaged to recruit a senior lawyer (EL2 equivalent) to manage the delivery of legal services at a nationally significant funds management entity based in Canberra. If you are a senior lawyer with at least 5 years PQE, perhaps an EL1 looking for the next step, this may be an ideal role for you.
Working with two colleagues at level, the successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of legal advice with respect to superannuation funds and schemes, the management of a team of lawyers, some of whom are very experienced, and other ad hoc matters as directed.
The successful candidate will have outstanding communication skills, and the ability to manage a diverse team. Although prior experience in an in-house setting will be highly regarded, candidates with leverageable experience in private legal practice or government are also encouraged to apply. Similarly, whilst financial services and superannuation experience would be well regarded, an interest in this area of legal practice is sufficient.
This role may be offered as a 12 month contract, or for the right candidate, on a permanent basis. The salary for this position is $135,000-$145,000 plus 15.4% super for eligible applicants. A bonus up to 10% is available where the successful candidate is engaged on a permanent basis.
