The Procurement team bring this to life by being supplier engagement role models for the firm. We live our purpose and values, we leverage our differences and expertise when it comes to developing and implementing sourcing strategies, supplier relationship management programs and driving supplier governance and reporting activities. We identify, mitigate and escalate commercial risks.
 
As the Procurement Governance Consultant your impact will be seen by supporting the central point for coordinating various activities concerned with supplier contracts across PwC Australia.

You will:
  • Utilise your excellent communication, organisation and prioritisation skills, whilst providing first class support. Your proactive attitude will ensure you quickly develop trusting working relationships with your team and clients
  • Administer first point onshore escalation of queries from our offshore Procurement Contracts team
  • Support supplier negotiations by assessing draft contracts in line with our stakeholder needs/activities, examining contract terms in conjunction with relevant policies, and liaising with our Legal, Risk, Finance, IT and Independence teams to advise internal clients of the most suitable avenue of engagement
  • Conduct periodic contract reviews using preset SOPs to determine conformity with contractual requirements and firm policies or codes
  • Support our ethical and diverse supplier programs via administering supplier due diligence checking and annual responsible supplier surveys
  • Facilitate internal training our newly developed Procurement policy and processes
  • Collate and maintain supplier contract data  as well as administering our electronic contract database, keeping accurate and up-to date records
 
About you

The brief is simple...
 
You have minimum of 2 years experience in legal support or compliance/governance fields and are at pre-graduate level or a tertiary qualified legal/compliance professional. You are capable of effectively and positively working with and managing offshore teams. You have moderate to advanced level understanding of contract law in a commercial environment and have a dynamic approach to compliance and governance. Previous experience in a professional services/partnership environment highly regarded but not essential.
 
You're passionate about exceptional customer service and building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. You thrive in a collaborative and innovative culture and want to join a firm that values problem solvers, the kind of people who reimagine the possible for their clients and key stakeholders.
