This opportunity is presenting itself because there is a current need for quite an experienced Senior litigator on a large international arbitration –this will be a 2IC role for the group. You will enter in a lead role on significant APAC arbitration currently at play.
The team will be made up of:
- 1x Special Counsel (Career)
- 2 x solicitors
- 1 x graduate
It will intersect regularly with a leading team in large scale investigations and trade practices litigation group.
Including:
- 1x Special Counsel
- 1x Senior Associate
- 2x Solicitors
You will align with a strong IA Disputes partner with a strong Middle Eastern depth across oil, gas, and APAC driven power and clean energy also.
This is quite a strategic move due to timing. This is a promotional chair in major project disputes. You will need to bring solid experience in International arbitration and a respected profile in construction disputes at the senior to special counsel level.
Aligned with this is an overarching strategy at play with this firm to invest in the next wave of partners. Due to a strong pattern of excellent retiring partners across the Australian offices in the medium term, this group are looking to ‘home grow’ its next generation of rated partners. Timing wise, this move will place you in a firm that is currently investing in building Australian Partners through a globally recognised partnership program.
Criteria:
- Minimum 8 years predominantly Disputes -Major Projects/Construction
- Bacehlor of Laws, Strong Academics
- Dispositon and acumen geared towards taking full carriage for principal clients
