Senior Legal Secretary - Medical Negligence

The Firm

Our client is a specialist and national plaintiff personal injury firm that is undergoing a period of exponential growth due to success across all areas of practice. As a result, they are seeking a Senior Legal Secretary that has a strong background in Plaintiff Personal Injury from a reputable NSW firm to join their flagship Sydney office within their Medical Negligence team.

One of the main reasons for our client's success is that the building block and foundation of everything they do centres around caring for their clients and guiding them through what can be a difficult and challenging legal process.

The role

This role is something different to what is usually seen at this level in the market right now in that it is a Senior Legal Secretarial role that will see you acting as the 'right hand' of the Partner of the Medical Negligence practice group as well as dealing with the file management, admin and support side for other authors in the team.

You will also essentially oversee the management of a very busy Medical Negligence practice. As a result, it is a high functioning and demanding role, hence the salary and benefits that go along with it.

Your background

You will have a minimum of 4 years' experience in providing invaluable Legal Secretarial support within a reputable Plaintiff Personal Injury practice, ideally with a background in Medical Negligence.

You will understand the need for diplomacy, confidentiality and compassion when dealing with clients of the firm that are often going through a difficult time in their lives.

Key areas of desired experience include:

• A secretarial background from a leading plaintiff personal injury firm - a distinct advantage would be previous experience in the area of Medical Negligence
• A compassionate and confidential manner on the telephone when dealing with clients of the firm - this is a top priority.
• Excellent typing and document drafting skills.
• A professional and dedicated demeanour- this is a high spec career role, the sky is the limit in terms of your career development with this firm.
