As Special Counsel or Junior Partner, position yourself to inherit a fully-developed practice within a Global Firm as the current Partner prepares to transition out of the business.
Your clients won’t just include the traditional Banks and Financial Institutions, but also some of the world’s largest corporations in the technology, e-commerce, retail and credit industries, as they establish themselves in a range of regulated financial services areas in Australia.
Market Leading Clients:
As a leader in the international Fintech market this firm is ideally positioned to handle clients from the US and Asia as they enter into and operate in the Australian market. These players are at the forefront of innovation in Fintech, payment products and e-payment systems.
As part of the larger Banking & Finance team, you'll also be advising clients on a range of regulatory and compliance issues relating to financial services, funds, superannuation, credit reporting, and anti-money laundering.
The Opportunity:
This is a genuinely rare opportunity for an experienced lawyer to take the lead for a service line in a supportive environment. The transition will be managed over a period of time with direction from other B&F transaction Partners in Melbourne.
As there is already an established practice here, a portable practice is not required for someone coming in at the Special Counsel level. We are certainly happy to discuss immediate Partnership options if you have a full or partial practice and will provide clear expectations of what that will entail.
