(Full time – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract)

We are the Western Australian branch of United Voice, one of Australia's oldest and largest unions, with a proud progressive history of more than 100 years of supporting working Australian to improve their lives. We represent workers in a wide range of industries including, Health, Aged Care, Cleaning, Security, Hospitality, Education and Early Childhood Education and Care.
United Voice is a union of workers organising to win better jobs, stronger communities, a fairer society and a sustainable future.
We are looking for a dedicated, talented and innovative individual who is keenly interested in industrial relations and advocacy to join our Industrial Team. This full-time, fixed term position covers a range of duties including providing industrial advice, representing members to resolve workplace issues and disputes and bargaining industrial agreements. This position will also include duties in the union’s campaigning activities.
Law Graduates are encouraged to apply.
Skills and experience required
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience (preferably in industrial relations or law).
- The ability to confidently and clearly explain legal information and the implications that a matter may have.
- An approachable manner, able to assist and work with others in a team environment.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Some experience or exposure to industrial relations or employment law.
Employment conditions
The salary package includes:
- Attractive salary, dependent on experience and skills.
- 6 weeks’ annual leave with 25% leave loading.
- 12% superannuation contribution.
