Due to an increased period of growth, our Client a friendly suburban law firm, are looking for an experienced Conveyancer / Property Paralegal to join their Property team. Located in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, this firm pride themselves on their exceptional reputation for providing high quality legal advice to their clients. The firm can best be described as having a down to earth and friendly work culture, with many staff members having been part of the firm for well over 15 years!

Your day to day responsibilities in this position will include:

• Preparation of due diligence and draft documents associated to the sale and purchase of properties - contracts of sale, settlement statements, vendor's statements, statement of adjustments
• Liaising with parties in preparation for settlement
• Managing and attending the settlements process
• Managing professional and effective working relationships with clients, purchasers, their lawyers, internal staff and other related parties
• Drafting correspondence, memorandums and email communications relating to conveyancing transactions
• Effective file management
• Preparation of client accounts (including time recording and billing)
• Conducting company and property searches
• General administrative tasks as required

To be in the running to join this small team of enthusiastic and high-performing legal professionals, you will need to be a self-starter who thrives in a busy working environment.   You will also need to demonstrate your ability to work with limited supervision, your mathematical and problem-solving skills, and your ability to juggle a number of tasks simultaneously. You will have solid conveyancing experience and demonstrated involvement with assisting in managing conveyancing files.  

Your positive approach, strong work ethic, high level communication and technical skills will see you easily unifying with this team.
