The Firm

The Role

Their Brisbane office now seeks a paralegal to manage a portfolio of litigation and recovery matters for one of the firm’s major clients. You will join a team lead by a Partner who has been described as "a great mentor, happy to help and chilled out"! 

Duties 

• Drafting correspondence including letters of demand
• Drafting court documents including Statements of Claim and Judgements
• E-filing of court documents
• File management – hardcopy and electronic
• Telephone calls with clients, debtors and third parties
• Diary management
• Client billing and reporting

Skills & Experience

• Experience as a paralegal with exposure to debt recovery or litigation processes
• Ability to work autonomously and run a litigation file from start to end
• Strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task
• Strong communication skills including the ability to negotiate settlements
• Strong technical skills – Microsoft Office and Leap an advantage
