Your new role
As Senior Legal Counsel, you will join the CA ANZ Legal team which is responsible for supporting the CA ANZ corporate group in legal matters focusing on commercial agreements, advertising and marketing, e-commerce and digital/IT matters, cross-border privacy compliance (including GDPR compliance), regulatory compliance (particularly in the employment law space), governance, employment law, consumer law, intellectual property and litigation. Your key internal stakeholders include: Members (including various commercial divisions), Education, Leadership and Advocacy (including professional conduct), Brand Marketing and Communications, ICT, Finance, Governance and People and Culture.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will be admitted to practice in NSW with a current practising certificate in Australia. You will be a highly experienced lawyer with around 8 - 10 years PAE across corporate and commercial matters and be a solution-orientated business enabler that approaches challenges with a positive energy. In addition to strong technical abilities, attention to detail and commercial acumen, you will also need have a proven track record of building strong business partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Experience in advising on cross-border privacy compliance and Corporations Act matters, including financial services, will be an advantage.
