Job Description
Concorde Legal has well-established links in ACT and NSW and are expanding our Family Law Division. We pride ourselves on providing expert legal advice and achieving client focused ethical outcomes.
An opportunity exists for a highly motivated family lawyer with the right mix of legal and personal skills to build on his or her niche in this thriving Canberra law firm. The successful applicant needs a strong family law background and be willing to handle a range of matters.
The role will also involve representing clients in the Family Court, Federal Circuit Court and the ACT Magistrates Court, and will work in a close-knit team in Family Law.
Role Requirements
- At least 2 years or more PAE working in Family Law;
- Demonstrated track record of working in an unsupervised environment;
- Ability to manage your own files from start to finish including all aspects of the matter;
- Drafting legal documents and correspondence in clear and concise language;
- Ability to manage complex financial disputes;
- Experience and willingness to attend court;
- Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
- A genuine interest and desire to work in the area of Family Law;
- The ability to bill time accurately;
Personal Skills and Qualities
- Strong organisational skills;
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail;
- Willingness to work outside of standard working hours when required;
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
- Self-motivation including the ability to work with minimal direction;
- Capacity to work as part of a small team.
