If you are looking for a career opportunity with a leading independent Australian law firm, look no further. We’re building our success from our strengths - innovation, relationships, service excellence and client satisfaction.

The Firm

With offices in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Newcastle and a complement of over 400 staff; we are building a truly east coast brand, offering a national and international platform that is ambitious, exciting and distinguishes us from our competitors.  An award winning law firm, McCullough Robertson Lawyers has received the prestigious Employer of Choice for Gender Equality citation for the fourth consecutive year.

The Role

We are seeking a Legal Automation Specialist to join the McCullough Robertson team.  Reporting to the Legal Automation Manager, the purpose of your role is to automate, maintain and administer precedents, examples and other documents to enable the efficient delivery of legal services by our legal teams.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with the firm’s practice support lawyers, legal automation specialists, project management and information technology teams.  Your responsibilities will include:

  • automating new and existing precedents;
  • checking and testing automated precedents, software rollouts and upgrades;
  • assisting with the creation and maintenance of workflow solutions;
  • maintaining and creating templates in Microsoft Word; and
  • delivering precedent and Microsoft Office support and training to the firm.

The role is based in our Brisbane office and can cater to those seeking either a full-time or part-time position including flexible working arrangements.

Experience

Ideally, you will have previous experience in a similar role, with precedent development, maintenance and automation.  We are looking for talented people with:

  • a comprehensive understanding of the Microsoft Office suite (2010-2016);
  • experience using document automation software e.g. I-Deal Docs or HotDocs (although this is not essential as you will be trained in the use of I-Deal Docs);
  • an interest in developing skills using workflow solutions software e.g. K2;
  • the ability to prioritise tasks and work autonomously with minimal supervision;
  • excellent problem solving skills and the ability to create practical solutions;
  • an exceptional level of attention to detail;
  • the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team; and
  • excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Benefits

Your sense of fulfilment at work is important to us and in return for your expertise and enthusiasm, we offer:

  • competitive remuneration;
  • career development opportunities;
  • subsidised gym membership;
  • active social and sporting events; and
  • an in-house café.

This is a fantastic career development opportunity with a firm that is future-focused, commercial and creative.
