Working with well-regarded partners, Zac Kerr and Luke Westmore this is an exciting time to join K&L Gates and be part of the Energy, Infrastructure and Resources (EIR) team.  The partners' experience covers transport infrastructure, power, renewable energy, PPPs, and a variety of other large and complex infrastructure projects.

What does the role involve?           

We are looking for multiple full-time lawyers (3-7 years PAE) to work in either our Melbourne or Sydney office.  Working across a variety of interesting projects and industries within Australia and integrating with our global EIR practice, this role presents a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting edge transactions and be part of an energetic, vibrant and multi-disciplinary team.  You will work within a collaborative group under the supervision and mentorship of highly skilled, experienced, energetic and approachable team members.  On a day to day basis you will have the chance to:

• Draft project documentation (project agreements, construction, operation and maintenance agreements, offtake, tolling and other revenue agreements, and ancillary project documentation)
• Assist in the performance and delivery of work to and management of relationships with the group's key clients
• Assist on the sale and purchase of infrastructure assets
• Contribute to the firm's learning and development programs in your area of specialty
• Participate in business development and client relationship activities
• Access and work with our global network of lawyers and resources

You should be practical and proactive in your approach in addition to demonstrating strong problem solving skills.  Well-developed communication and drafting skills are essential.

You will ideally have experience working in a medium to large sized law firm or in-house team with demonstrated experience in one or more of infrastructure procurement projects, construction contracting and the sale and purchase of infrastructure assets.
