A well respected and established law firm in Kingsgrove is currently seeking a driven and enthusiastic Legal Secretary to join our busy practice.
The Role We are seeking a Legal Secretary to work with us on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be working with the Litigation/Family Law Solicitor performing a variety of duties in a professional and efficient manner.
The successful candidate will have the ability to work calm in a busy environment and demonstrate high level of communication skills and be able to manage a large volume of files with excellent attention to detail.
Duties Include but not limited to:
- Liaising with clients, solicitors and barristers
- Assisting Solicitors in administrative tasks
- Drafting correspondence and basic Court documents such as Initiating Application, Affidavits, Financial Statements, Consent Orders and Divorce Applications
- Attend to filing and delivery of Court Documents and briefs
- Diary management
- Answering and managing incoming calls
Skills and Experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Professional demeanour
- Responsible, reliable and able to work autonomously
- Excellent organisational skills
- Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Family law (highly regarded)
- Wills
- Litigation
- Minimum of 12 months experience in a similar role
- Experience in LEAP Legal Software (preferred)
- Strong IT skills (MS Office)
