The Real Estate Group

This role involves working alongside the best Commercial Real Estate Lawyers in the business and the Group assists both local and and international clients in maximising their large scale and lucrative Commercial Property investment portfolios. This award-winning team does not just act in a local or domestic setting alone but should also be seen as integral to the global offering of the firm in that they act in tandem with their other offices around the world.

The Real Estate Group in Sydney are regarded as the 'go to' experts in this area, particularly in the sphere of sales and acquisitions of hotels, casinos and other large business conglomerates, chains and enterprises. Their client base is second to none and the successful candidate will be working for very well-known, prestigious operations both here in Australia and offshore. 

The team has an unparalleled reputation for assisting luxury hotelier and casino brands with meeting their complex real estate needs and concerns such as negotiating property leases and commercial agreements. No two days are the same as the work is so varied given the scope of the area and client base.

The Role

For success in this role, you will be an accomplished and dedicated Commercial Property/Real Estate Senior Associate with a strong background from a similar and/or well known law firm with a reputation for excellence.

Ideally, our client is looking for an exceptional Associate on the cusp of Senior Associate or someone already at SA level in their current role that is looking to make a strategic long term move.

Experience needed

• Relevant and current work experience, with particular experience or an interest in the Hotel industry;
• Negotiating hotel and resort management sales and acquisitions agreements;
• Commercial Sales & Acquisitions;
• Commercial and Retail Leasing;
• Real Estate due diligence investigations;
• Sound property law expertise, with strong commercial skills and awareness of the issues and drivers impacting the Commercial Real Estate and Hotel industries;
• Enthusiasm to be involved in business development activities - participating in industry related programs and developing strategic relationships and networks;
• First rate experience of drafting documents; and
• Excellent academic background
