The Firm 

Our client is a cutting edge law firm providing legal advice in insurance law, health law, corporate and commercial law, employment law, commercial litigation and dispute resolution. They have a unique and genuine dedication to reaching the best possible outcomes for their clients.

The Role

To provide legal secretarial support to a friendly and down to earth Principal and Senior Associate in Commercial areas such as company and business acquisition, corporate advisory and governance, health law and commercial and residential property. 

Duties 
  • Managing diaries
  • File and matter management (both electronic and hard copy filing)
  • Under supervision by fee earners, management of conveyancing matters, including utilisation of conveyancing software, communications with client and other parties, preparation of statements of adjustments and instructions to settlement agents
  • Preparation of documents
  • Preparation of presentations for business development initiatives 
  • Client engagement
  • Managing continuing professional development commitments and keeping auditable records of compliance
  • Word processing including document generation (agreements, letters, reports, tables and other documents), maintenance of electronic files using the firm’s document management system, and use of the electronic dictation system
  • Liaising with service providers and third party providers
  • Prompt answering of all switchboard overload calls
  • Printing, Scanning, uploading and photocopying documents as instructed
Skills & Experience 
  • Previous experience in a commercial or property secretarial role
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and show initiative
  • Superior organisational and prioritisation abilities
  • Ability to build relationships across all levels of business internally and externally
