Industry Superannuation Fund is looking for a Legal Counsel. Reporting directly to the Head of Legal, this is a broad in-house legal role covering financial services, corporate and commercial law. Work as part of a high performing, friendly, collaborative team with a high staff retention rate and good work/life balance.
Duties and responsibilities of the role:
- Provide high quality and timely legal advice and support to the business, including advising on superannuation, financial services, investment, corporate and commercial law.
- Prepare, review, negotiate and draft legal documents as required
- Monitoring changes and developments in the legal and regulatory environment and advising the business to ensure ongoing compliance with the regulatory framework.
- Review and provide sign-off to disclosure documentation: PDS, fact sheet, other communication material, website and technical communication, periodic.
- Record, investigate and report, as required, incidents and breaches in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements for the role:
- At least 3 years post qualification legal experience with strong superannuation and financial services exposure.
- Clear and concise report writing to articulate investigation findings, remediation and incident reporting.
- Attention to detail, proactive, flexible, sense of urgency, meeting targets and good time management of self.
