The position:
Due to an influx of work we have a role for a Junior Solicitor (min 1-2 years PAE) to join our practice, to provide timely and accurate advice to clients and to achieve results.
The role is a broad commercial litigation role where you will provide support and assistance to our senior practitioners on larger court matters:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drafting advices, pleadings and prepare matters for hearing;
- Contested commercial litigation matters;
- Insolvency matters, bankruptcy and company liquidations;
- Provide support and assistance to our Principal and Senior Counsel, on larger court matters;
- Have exposure to all aspects of the litigation process from taking the client’s instructions to appearing in court; and
- Assist with business development and marketing initiatives
Skills:
- Experience working in Commercial Litigation & Insolvency (min 1-2 years);
- Ability to work autonomously;
- Strong research and drafting skills will be highly regarded;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to meet deadlines and have a ‘best at what we do’ vision;
- A professional demeanour;
- The desire to learn and develop professionally; and
- A positive and proactive work ethic;
