About the role
Reporting to the Group Company Secretary, the Senior Company Secretary’s purpose is to effectively manage the NAB Group’s Australian Subsidiaries (circa 35) and is accountable for:
- the seamless delivery of the legal and compliance obligations of each of the NAB’s Australian subsidiaries;
- working closely with the Chairmen and individual directors on each of the NAB’s Australian subsidiaries to ensure appropriate agenda planning and delivery;
- fulfilling the duties of a Company Secretary, as required by the Corporations Act, each of the Constitutions and other relevant obligations; and
- liaising closely with stakeholders who provide corporate governance, finance, tax and compliance services to the NAB Australian subsidiaries.
About you
This dynamic role presents a long-term career opportunity and it requires high energy, diligence and a strong work ethic. The successful candidate will have:
- Company Secretariat experience in the Legal, Governance or Risk department of a complex organisation;
- proven ability to act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders and excellent stakeholder management skills;
- tertiary qualifications in a relevant field; and
- an adaptable approach and a continuous improvement mindset.
