Our client is a large Commonwealth Government Department. A need has arisen to fill a number of positions with commercial lawyers, preferably, though not necessarily, with government contracting and procurement experience (i.e. private sector experience is also valued). These positions may be filled on the basis of non-ongoing contracts up to 12 months, or for existing APS employees, on the basis of a permanent transfer.
Successful candidates will have commercial contracting experience. Successful candidates will also have experience with government procurement. In addition to great stakeholder management skills and a commitment to customer service with a track record of working well with others to achieve client outcomes, successful candidates will have a real desire to work for a great boss and contribute to a collegiate working environment.
Successful candidates must also be able to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance, and our client may be willing to sponsor this process for the right candidates if they do not yet have a clearance.
