Our Restructuring & Insolvency practice group is recognised as one of the leading Restructuring & Insolvency teams in Australia.  Demand on our services has created an opportunity for an Associate with 2-3 years PAE to join the Melbourne team.   

Working for local and overseas banks, investment banks, special opportunity funds, as well as insolvency practitioners and trustees the key responsibilities and requirements for this role are as follows:

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex insolvency administrations, including cross-border insolvencies
  • Assist with recovery and with restructuring matters
  • Liaise with clients and assist in negotiations
  • Run insolvency and financial services related litigation
  • Assist with business development and marketing initiatives

Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years PQE gained within a reputable restructuring & insolvency practice
  • Demonstrated experience working on a range of complex restructuring & insolvency matters
  • Strong client liaison skills
  • Outstanding analytical, technical and drafting skills
  • ARITA qualifications are ideal but not essential
