About the Role

The Claims Specialist will lead and manage claims, contractual obligations and conclude commercial settlements. The successful candidate will work with the Project Lawyer and external legal (as required) to create and execute strategies to negotiate and resolve disputes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead collaboration and unification of various functions to enable effective claim management
Identify issues relating to contract / claim management and create processes for continuous cross-functional improvement
Lead the management, documentation and rectification of contract breaches
Assist The Project Lawyer / Commercial Director in negotiations

Key Competencies

Bachelors Degree in Law or Business
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
Good interpersonal communication skills
General Rolling Stock / Rail knowledge - Desirable
Large complex projects experience - Desirable
Construction Law Experience - Desirable
