We are a busy and growing firm specialising in commercial and property matters, located in Gosford. We offer a friendly, supportive and stable office environment conducive to achieving the right work/life balance.
Other than the supervising legal practitioner director who is an accredited business law specialist, we have a paralegal team covering conveyancing, deceased estates etc. Our clients include not for profit organisations and private small to medium sized companies across a range of industries.
About the role
An opportunity has arisen for a full time high performing and highly technical Solicitor with 3 plus years post admission experience, who is focused on client service and well organised. The role will be primarily responsible for:
- commercial litigation; and
- estate litigation;
but may include;
- business sales and acquisitions;
- retail and commercial leasing;
- business structuring and asset protection;
- commercial and residential conveyancing;
- contract drafting and review;
- succession planning; and
- wills and estates.
It is not expected that the solicitor will have expertise in each of the above areas. Depending on previous experience the workload for the solicitor can be tailored to areas where they have experience and at the same time have an opportunity to gain experience and expertise in areas where they may have had little or no previous experience.
Remuneration
You will be remunerated based on skills and experience but it is intended that an attractive bonus structure will be offered to enable the successful applicant to be well rewarded for their efforts. You will be able to earn a Sydney CBD salary but enjoy the benefits of living and working on the Central Coast of NSW.
Qualifications, skills and experience
Essential Qualifications
- Admission as a Solicitor in NSW
- Current Practicing Certificate
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Ability to manage files, staff and clients with minimal supervision, as part of a team, or independently when required;
- Computer literate – LEAP, eConveyancing eg Pexa, Word, Excel, Email, etc
- Current Drivers Licence; and
- Australian Citizen/Permanent Resident
