The company:
This role is perfectly suited for an environment and planning lawyer (with an environment and native title focus), a corporate lawyer or resources and energy lawyer who is looking to join a team highly regarded across Australia. This is a rare opportunity to branch out and broaden your skills on challenging projects work.
About the role:
This practice is highly regarded in Queensland and will see you:
- working for smaller "explorer" clients through to large, household name, multinational mining companies both locally and internationally;
- advising on mining and resources projects from concept to completion; and
- involved in the project life cycle from the approvals process including environmental and native title issues through to working closely with the corporate practice.
To be considered for this role you will have:
- a genuine interest in native title and major projects work;
- 3-10 years' post admission in planning and environment law or energy and resources law;
- if your background is planning and environment rather than energy and resources, a focus on the environmental side is preferred;
- solid academics from your LLB;
- strong drafting skills and an ability to think outside the box; and
- the confidence to be given a good deal of autonomy while also working closely in a team on large projects.
