The Role: 

We are currently looking for a Lawyer with 3-5 years PAE to join our corporate team in Sydney. This position will work closely with an experienced and respected Partners, who specialise in:

• Corporate M&A transactions (including acting for private equity funds in the acquisition and Divestment of portfolio companies,
• Equity capital markets,
• Joint ventures,
• Complex commercial arrangements,
• Restructures, and
• General commercial and corporate contracts.

Requirements:

 To be successful in this role, you will need to:

• Have solid experience and exposure to the management of M&A transactions as well as a strong background in Corporate Advisory / Mergers & Acquisitions with a mid-market focus preferably, through experience gained in mid to top-tier firms;
• Have solid experience with high level due diligence including due diligence reports
• Experience with reviewing and drafting contracts (licencing, commercial agreements and so forth)
• Possess a willingness to have a hands-on approach as a client-focused practitioner, with great relationship-building and communication skills;
• Possess a willingness and ability to understand clients’ commercial needs and objectives and provide solutions at law to achieve these;
• Provide sound, pragmatic and innovative legal advice to the firm's corporate clients;
• Good contract drafting skills, legal analysis and problem solving skills to varied situations;
• Have excellent attention to detail, analytical skills which will be backed up by strong academics; and
• A thirst to develop as this is a role that offers genuine career development.
