The position:
 
We are currently seeking a Motor/Property Claims Consultant to join our office located in Melbourne’s CBD.  This is a permanent, full time position working in our Comcover team, managing claims on behalf of the Commonwealth Government’s self-managed insurance scheme.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Providing a cost effective, professional and customer focused general insurance claims service specific to the management of Motor and Property claims
  • Providing the highest level of customer service and claims advice to Commonwealth Government Agencies in the management of claims for the Comcover portfolio
  • Managing daily workflow in order to maintain client service standards for both internal and external clients
  • Providing assistance with qualitative file audits
  • Providing assistance with the review of external providers
  • Settling claims within client service instructions and guidelines
  • Understand and comply with policies and procedures around securing and handling company and client information

What we are looking for:

Essential:


  • Candidate must be an Australian Citizen, and successfully undergo Commonwealth Government security clearance
  • Strong, relevant claims management experience
  • Understanding of General Insurance principles and legal procedures
  • Knowledge of general business and administrative practices
  • Excellent customer service skills
Preferred:
  • Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline and/or demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Industry specific qualifications
