McKillop Insurance Brokers have been operating in Launceston since 1975, and have grown to become one of the largest Insurance Brokers in the state. Our business currently consists of sixteen staff and we are seeking to employ an experienced Operations Manager on a full-time basis.

The Role:

The purpose of this role is to ensure that the office, technology, personnel and day-to-day activities are effective while achieving business objectives.

You must be a hands-on leader who can work under pressure and multi task. It is essential you possess effective time management skills with excellent attention to detail. No two days will be the same, and you must be able to adapt to the varying nature of this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of staff
  • Coordinate, plan and execute workflow activities
  • Provide ongoing support to Executive Directors
  • Coordinate office personnel work activities in line with strategic management
  • Ensure workplace employee materials and documentation are maintained in line with legal obligations and best practice standards
  • Manage Information Technology
  • Support to the marketing team
  • Manage Credit Control
  • Manage ad hoc situations as they arise, prioritising the needs of the business

Skills, Experience and Requirements:

  • HR Management experience
  • Customer service focused across all channels
  • The ability to communicate clearly and concisely to varying audiences
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail
  • Professional and confident approach
  • Ability to support Administration Manager and understand compliance procedures
  • Hold an Australian driver’s license
  • Positive approach to change
  • Insurance knowledge would be advantageous
