Here is your chance to join a well-established and continuously growing insurance brokerage.

The role will be responsible for working within a team of experienced claims officers, including the provision of technical advice and analysis of the insurer’s approach to claims for our clients. You will also provide support and guidance to clients as well as the service broker throughout the claim cycle. 

Where necessary the role will involve conducting negotiations and escalations directly with the insurers on risk with creative problem solving to drive commercial outcomes.

The successful candidate should be well versed in strata, property and liability claims.  

Responsibilities include: 

  • Overseeing and monitoring a portfolio of claims
  • Providing guidance and support to the client service broker as required 
  • Engaging with all parties to resolve coverage disputes through in-depth policy knowledge, industry practices and market trends 
  • Developing and maintaining solid working relationships and networks with professional risks insurer’s claims examiners and clients
  • General claims administration as required 

The requirements are:

  • Strong experience in insurance claims in Australia 
  • Proven experience working for an insurer(s) or insurance brokerage
  • ANZIIF qualifications and/or other relevant fields of study 
  • The ability to build strong enduring relationships with clients, brokers and insurers 
  • Proactive and strong customer service focus 
  • Able to meet deadlines and work well under pressure and high workloads 
  • Strong advocacy, negotiation and communication skills and experience in dispute resolution processes 
  • Excellent influencing, negotiation, presentation & communication skills 
  • Strong written communications skills for preparing clear
