The Company

This leading Workers Compensation Specialist who pride themselves on offering their staff an excellent work/life balance including RDO's are currently seeking a high performing Claims Specialist to join their risk team on a permanent basis.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Claims Manager, the primary duties of this role include:

• Strategically managing your own portfolio of return to work claims to achieve cost effective outcomes
• Developing and implementing Injury Management plans on all significant injury claims
• Preparing and presenting claims reviews off-site
• Assessing liability based on WorkCover guidelines
• Educating clients on their legislative obligations and ensuring they have effective claims lodgement processes in place.
• Driving recovery through working closely with external Rehab Providers and ensuring Return to work plans are implemented.
• Consistently calculating estimates on claims within guidelines
• Authorising payments
• Proactively managing client disputes should they arise

Your details

The ideal candidate for this role will have the following:

• Previous experience managing workers compensation claims within a Scheme Agent, Self Insurer or Specialised Insurer environment
• Strong knowledge of the current NSW legislation
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Exceptional communicational skills, both written and verbal
