The Fund

A public offer Fund, this organisation’s strategic goal is to be the leading national industry fund in its growing sector. In this senior executive role, you will play a critically important role in maximising the attainment of this goal.

The Role

Primarily, you will provide leadership to the Brand and Marketing team, and enhance the Fund’s reputation through the development of effective brand management and integrated marketing and communications strategies aligned to member outcome focussed strategic and business objectives. You would also be responsible for managing a number of outsourced key service providers including research houses, and for oversight of Digital, Business Intelligence activities, campaign management and the CRM system. Responsibilities include:

  • Functional – manage all Fund marketing, brand and communications plans, deliver the digital customer engagement strategy and execute growth and retention-focussed plans and activities;
  • People and culture – lead and develop a high performing team that lives and demonstrates the Fund’s values, and be a valued part of the management team;
  • Systems, procedures and policies - ensure compliance with relevant laws, prudential standards, policies and procedures;
  • Customer and stakeholder – manage external provider relationships, and project outcomes; and
  • Financial management – develop and manage within approved business unit budget, and focus the team on performance, growth and cost awareness

The Person

You have:

  • Senior experience in the financial services sector (preferably superannuation);
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (such as MBA, Bachelor of Marketing) or similar;
  • Expert technical knowledge in brand, marketing and communications;
  • Demonstrable experience of digital strategy and execution, and integrated digital marketing technologies and services;
  • A strongly commercial mindset; and
  • Proven people management experience, with a focus on coaching and mentoring skills
