We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Claims Advocate to join the claims team with a primary focus on servicing the Financial & Professional lines.   On a daily basis your duties will include but not be limited to:

• Handling specialist liability & Financial lines claims
• Providing high quality advice and advocacy from first notification through to final settlement
• Driving the settlement negotiation process and negotiating on behalf of client
• Respond to queries from brokers and clients
• Conduct meetings &  liaise with clients insurers, claimants and eternal providers,
• Manage complex claims according to the companies processes and client agreements
• Interpret policy wordings & analysis claims history
• Administration and correspondence, prepare reports and update clients on progress

The successful applicant will  have excellent written and oral communication skills.  We are looking for a team player who can work effectively in a busy and, at times, demanding environment.  As this is a client facing role as a person you will be required to have the following skills:

• Maintain and strengthen relationships with external and internal clients
• Have a collaborative approach to your work
• Demonstrate strong business and commercial acumen
• Excellent decision making and negotiation skills with the ability to influence
• Attention to detail
• Mature in outlook and strength of character to discuss complex issues with professional meetings and carry out meetings with confidence

You will need to have insurance claims experience with a minimum of 5 yrs. liability claims handling experience, a law background/qualification would be advantageous.
