ABOUT THE ROLE:
An excellent opportunity has arisen with an ASX listed national brokerage company who are looking for an experienced Account Executive with Commercial experience to inherit an existing book of business.
You will work closely with industry professionals to review, negotiate and advise on business insurance programs for SMEs. They are looking for a broker who ideally has experience in commercial lines and a proven capability of managing their own portfolio. You will be ambitious, proactive, have excellent business acumen with a desire to succeed and the ability to maintain and drive business.
KEY DUTIES:
- Manage and service a portfolio of general commercial insurance business
- Identify and assess risk exposures and source appropriate cover
- Build relationships with clients, understand their exposures and insurance requirements
- Deal with a high volume of renewals and pro-actively ensure a high level of retention
- Handle all endorsements, CoC's, invoicing and Review proposal forms and quotations
- Cross sell new business opportunities
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Tier 1 Broking Qualification
- Minimum 4 years broking experience, preferably specific SME commercial experience
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- Strong client relationships with high client retention rate
- High levels of attention to detail, accuracy and professionalism
