The Role
Suncorp Personal Injury Claims (PIC) aspires to be the leading personal injury insurer. We are very excited to announce further growth in our high performing CTP claims team. With these new opportunities we are looking for talented experienced professionals who share our passion for excellent customer service and exceptional claims management.
We have many opportunities for Senior Claims Advisors to join our CTP Claims team.
This busy and varied role will see you managing a portfolio of CTP claims from inception of the claim through investigating liability, providing reasonable and appropriate treatment and rehabilitation, gathering and analysing medical and financial documentation, assessing the value of the claim and negotiating settlement.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively manage a portfolio of claims in accordance with legislative, regulatory and procedural guidelines to achieve cost effective and timely claim resolution.
- Utilise computer systems and technology to manage work, time and processes efficiently
- Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders to discuss and seek advice in relation to claims decisions and file direction to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded.
- Requirement to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a high performing team.
- Effectively communicate decisions and negotiate to achieve successful outcomes over the phone and in person at compulsory conferences.
- Develop skill sets and expand knowledge through mentoring and attending internal and external training/seminars.
Skills & Experience
- At least 3 years’ experience with managing a portfolio of claims and/or Personal Injury experience.
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Law, Insurance or related filed - Desired
- Proven ability to communicate and build rapport with various stakeholders
- Strong problem solving and resolution capabilities
- Confidence in negotiating and decision making
- Ability to interpret complex information and respond by developing appropriate actions
- High standard of written communication across traditional and electronic communication media
- Display behaviours that contribute and drive a positive culture.
