Based in our beautifully designed Head Office in Surry Hills, Teachers Health is an established health insurance fund for the education sector with a strong presence in the market.
This is a full-time permanent role, Monday to Friday (35-hour week).
About the role
This is a busy role involving processing private health insurance hospital claims. Our Assessors process claims submitted to the Fund through a variety of channels, start to finish; no case management involved.
We are looking for a professional, motivated & proactive person to fill this role. Full training will be provided; attention to detail and solid administrative skills are a must. Our ideal candidate will enjoy the challenge of working autonomously and meeting KPIs, while learning about the interesting world of private health insurance. The role is a full time permanent one.
Essential requirements/experience
The successful applicant will have:
- Demonstrated excellence in administration roles or studies
- Experience achieving targets/KPIs
- Fantastic attention to detail
- 45+ wpm typing speed required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team
- Great decision making skills
- Year 12 Certificate minimum or relevant work experience
Desirable criteria:
- Relevant tertiary qualification desirable but not essential
- Hospital assessing experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Exposure to a membership-driven organisation, Private Health Insurance or General Insurance will be highly regarded
