The Role
 
We currently have a Full Time Permanent opportunity within our Adelaide office for a Recoveries Officer. This role is responsible for effectively managing a portfolio of worker, employer, provider scheme / contract debt recovery cases or third party wrong doer cases. The role is also responsible for contributing to the sustainability of the Return to Work Scheme in SA in line with contractual obligations.
 
Reporting to a Team Manager, the main responsibilities include:
  • Providing a high level of professional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders;
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders to identify third party wrongdoer recovery potential and minimise the impact of overpayments to injured workers, employers or providers;
  • Communicating with stakeholders when unauthorised payments occur, providing technical assistance when required to reduce potential overpayments; and;
  • Investigating potential recoveries and documenting outcomes, and commencing recoveries, where appropriate within agreed timeframes;

 

The Candidate
To be successful in this role you will need to have highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with a well-developed customer service ethos. We are seeking an individual with a strong sense of accountability, and well-rounded organisational and time management capabilities. Coupled with the ability to think strategically and apply their knowledge on the recovery process. Experience within workers compensation or public liability / third party debt recovery will be held in high regards.
