360 Underwriting Solutions is a specialist Underwriting Agency dedicated to the provision of specialist insurance solutions for the broker market. We bring together a team of specialist underwriters and contemporary electronic delivery systems which are supported by our commitment to personal service provided by true insurance professionals who care about our broker relationships. Moving into the next phase, we’re now seeking to expand our suite of products and distribution capability to ensure we meet the needs of the rapidly-evolving Broker market.  

We are currently seeking an experienced and professional Claims Specialist to work in our Sydney office.  The successful candidate will provide a professional claims handling service within a delegated level of authority working predominately in Commercial property and/or liability claims. The workload is constant and the ability to work accurately whilst under pressure is a prerequisite of this position.

 

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing a professional claims handling service to clients designed to provide solutions, achieve best possible cost outcomes and claims experience and enhance the client/broker/insurer relationship
  • Managing the day to day handling of claims by attending to incoming insurance claims
  • Processing, following up and negotiating claims within delegated level of authority
  • Maintaining client claim files and ensure that the required level of service is of the highest standard until deemed closed and finalised
  • Managing various third party service providers and monitoring performance
  • Generating and analysing claims data
  • Ensuring all service falls within internal and external compliance requirements
  • Ensuring professional conduct to be maintained at all times to positively promote the company and insurance industry.

 

Skills & Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial property and/or liability claims management
  • Broad knowledge of various insurance products
  • Knowledge of claims processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of the legal/ legislative environment in which the insurance industry operates
  • Literacy in technology and systems
  • Excellent verbal,  written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a busy team environment, manage time effectively and meet deadlines
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Tertiary education in law or business is desirable
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office products.
