The LGIS team are part of the Perth office of JLT – an international insurance broker, risk management consultants and employee benefits specialists and one of the largest companies of its type.
Our LGIS office provides niche risk management and risk financing services for WA Local Governments under the LGIS business name.
The focus of this role is the provision of insurance risk finance/mutual member advice and construction of insurance programs, a trusted business adviser together with oversight of a variety of risk management services to a portfolio of Local Government clients.
Ideally we are seeking candidates who:
- Demonstrated experience to manage and provide insurance product advice and promote tailored risk services to a portfolio of clients throughout WA through a personalised integrated service approach;
- Have excellent relationship management skills, are client focused, organised, innovative and ready to provide professional services to assist our clients in managing their risks;
- Have strong comprehensive knowledge of all general commercial insurance policies, e.g. ISR, Worker Compensation, Liability, Motor Vehicle, Accident & Health and Financial Lines;
- Have the ability to grow and expand the products and services to local government clients;
- Are self starters and demonstrate initiative;
- Possess excellent verbal, written, numerical and presentation skills;
- Can work co-operatively within a niche team environment;
- Have the capacity to achieve deadlines and commit to other business disciplines, such as company quality/compliance requirements;
- Have a minimum five (5) years' experience;
This is a client facing role involving extensive travel throughout regions of Western Australia.
The candidate must be Tier 1 compliant in Insurance Broking and ideally should have achieved their Diploma Financial Services (Insurance Broking) and maintenance of QPIB status through NIBA or equivalent Senior Associate membership through ANZIIF.
Salary package will be commensurate with experience and suitable to attract an experienced professional.
