We are looking for an experienced Claims Technician with strong Home, Motor and Commercial experience within the insurance industry to join our Northern Territory team. A working knowledge of end to end claims management is integral to the role. Claim Central requires an agile, innovative and proactive Claims Technician to support our loss adjusters and assessors.

The opportunity involves:

  • Improving the customer experience through each touch point of the claim
  • Processing new insurance claims notifications
  • Management of claims from first notification through to settlement
  • Collecting accurate information and documents required to proceed with a claim
  • Ensuring accurate and timely processing at each end of the claim life cycle
  • Contacting trades from our network of approved professionals and arranging repairs for claimants
  • Preparing First, Progress (as required) and Final reports
  • Maintaining proactive communicating with all stake holders including: Claimants and their representatives, Brokers, Insurance Clients, Self-Insured entities and Trade Repair Partners
  • Adhering to legal requirements and industry regulations.

About You:

  • 3-5 years insurance experience in Home, Motor and Commercial insurance
  • Results driven
  • Excellent customer service and problem solving skills
  • Efficient time management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and achieve team results
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Positive attitude
  • Strong ability to foster and maintain business relationships
