The Member Engagement Team provide high quality general and limited advice to its members and their families. The team is all about making a difference and providing a professional, personal service to their members. They are a close knit team of highly engaged individuals, who share knowledge and support each other to contribute to the ongoing success of the team and the business.
Your role as the Superannuation Adviser is to help lead members to financial wellness, providing guidance and (limited) personal advice primarily through one on one engagement. You may also deliver group seminars and workshops to promote greater financial awareness with members.
Reporting into the Team Leader – Member Engagement, you will work closely with Member Education Managers, Client Partnership Managers and the extended team to deliver upon a full scope of advice which includes all aspects of super, retirement income streams and age pension.
You would describe yourself as an energetic and self-motivated individual who has excellent attention to detail and believes in and can sell the value of advice. You are compliance focused, team orientated and a strong communicator. You are passionate about your role in an advice setting and are motivated to assist members to lead a better quality of life after work.
To be considered for this role you will have:
- An undergraduate degree in Business/Economics/Commerce (with RG146 Financial Planning qualifications) a CFP and/or
- Completed your Advanced Diploma Financial Planning;
- A strong understanding of the advice process and the relevant regulatory requirements;
- The confidence and capability of delivering advice across several member engagement channels;
- The ability to identify and refer members to the extended advice team for support outside of your limited scope of advice – this includes financial planners and other third-party providers;
- The interpersonal and relationship management skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders as well as support the Funds ability to increase market share through business development opportunities AND
- Broader technical, professional and personal skills needed to perform the role including strong communication and presentation skills, solid technical knowledge of the superannuation landscape and ability to build upon individual and team success through strong working relationships
