The role
 
Within this exciting role you will provide a specialised and dedicated service to insurers and the client Trustee. This includes Death, Terminal Illness, Income Protection, Permanent Incapacity and Total and Permanent Disablement. The Case Manager - Relationships provides these services with the utmost professionalism, keeping the member’s circumstances front of mind at all times.

 

With a focus on quality outcomes by balancing member needs with operational limits, you will be the primary contact for members / claimants who make a claim and treats each claim as unique. The Case Manager - Relationships ensures members / claimants receive accurate and timely information delivered with respect and sensitivity. 



This is a Fixed Term position until April 2019.

This role will involve

  • Administration of Death or Total and Permanent Disablement and Invalidity claims
  • Proactive management and monitoring of a portfolio of claims to ensure timely & effective service is provided in accordance with Link Group operating standards
  • Case management activities will include initial and ongoing telephone advice & support to members regarding the claim process & status of their claims
  • Deal sympathetically and professionally, verbally and in writing, with claimants and their dependants during stressful times
  • Ensure all documents and information required by the Trustee, Assessors and/or Insurer(s) are obtained within minimal timeframes
  • Minimise delays throughout the claim process through effective co-ordination & liaison with key stakeholders
  • Demonstrate technical knowledge and awareness of Death & TPD claim processes 

The ideal candidate will have
  • Sound analytical and problem solving skills
  • Exceptional customer service focus & experience.
  • The ability to work as part of a team and contribute to team objectives
  • Strong communication skills – verbal and written
  • Ability to self-manage and prioritise work to ensure service and standards and case management objectives are achieved
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Prior Superannuation knowledge and experience
