Based primarily within our new offices in Forest Hill, the purpose of this role is to actively contribute to the achievement of Bolton Clarke’s workers’ compensation and injury claims/case management strategies.



About the role
  • Assist in the implementation of best practice workers’ compensation and injury claims/case management strategies, initiatives and systems to continually improve current and future performance.
  • Provide advice, guidance and support to the business on all workers’ compensation and injury claims/case management. While the primary caseload for this role is in Victoria, the position is also responsible for rehabilitation in some other states/jurisdictions and assists with administration related to the NSW managed fund scheme.
  • Provide education to management and staff to ensure they understand their rights and responsibilities in relation to workers’ compensation and injury management including relevant policies and processes.
  • Undertake measurement of performance, trend analysis and reporting on all workers’ compensation and injury claims/case management matters, ensuring they are appropriate, effective, timely and informative.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient claims management and rehabilitation case management, including liaison with treating providers and attendance at case conferences, claims reviews and workplace meetings.
  • Coordinate the rehabilitation of injured employees under compensation schemes as well as our early intervention program.
  • Perform administrative duties required for the management of workers’ compensation claims, including the entry and maintenance of accurate data information into the claims management system, facilitating timely and accurate payments (compensation payments, medical costs under employer liability) and reconciling payments.
  • Work as an integral member of a larger team of rehabilitation and claims management specialists, with exposure to various jurisdictions and claims models.
  • May be required to travel intra or interstate with overnight stays.


What do we need from you?
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in injury management and rehabilitation, or other relevant experience managing personal injury claims.
  • Rehabilitation & Return to Work Coordinator Certificate for Victoria (ideally or the ability to acquire this).
  • Proven experience in providing advice in workers’ compensation and injury claims/case management, and implementing rehabilitation strategies.
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build constructive and effective relationships and negotiate with and influence relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Computer skills in software applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Sound organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to deliver high quality, efficient and effective administration and support services in a customer focused environment.
  • Current Police Check (Valid within last 3 years) or willingness to obtain.
