We have a newly created role for a proven Business Development Manager - Insurance to join CUA working in Brisbane.

As the Business Development Manager - Insurance you will be responsible for the sales performance of loan repayment insurance products within our regions. Reporting directly to the National Sales Manager, you will provide support and play a critical role in the delivery of CUA’s Sales Strategy and annual business plan.

To drive sales performance you will manage all aspects of product sales training, and personal development of front-line sales staff through face-to-face and over the phone coaching to improve loan repayment insurance penetration through all sales channels.
You will have exceptional relationship building skills, with a strong ability to support, lead and inspire key stakeholders which will include Regional Sales Managers, Branch Managers and front line staff.

  • Passionate about insurance with a keen eye to identify new sales opportunities and gaps in current performance;
  • Exceptional relationship management skills with the ability to motivate and drive sales performance from stakeholders who have multiple sales targets;
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal with experience in creating coaching and training material;
  • Extremely member focused and passionate about providing adequate protection solutions;
  • Problem solving skills with the ability to be agile in achieving sales targets across the regions.

Essentials…
  • Two years’ experience working within banking, consumer credit, life or general insurance;
  • Minimum one years’ experience in a business development / sales and coaching environment;
  • Proven experience in coaching and developing staff within the insurance market, preferably consumer credit insurance;
  • Experience monitoring sales process with adherence to compliance;
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new processes and hit the ground running;
  • Willingness to travel interstate regularly as required.
