THE OPPORTUNITY

The new icare claims service model requires agile and proactive people with a passion for helping others. We require a Case Management Specialist with experience in Mental Health.  You will be responsible for customer service and support to all stakeholders to provide proactive, tailored, timely and effective management of specialised claims.

Working as part of a specialised team, you will have the opportunity to shape the delivery of the new claims service model and deliver a world class customer experience.

ABOUT YOU

  • You are passionate about helping others and providing a high level of customer service
  • Have a tailored and empathetic delivery approach
  • You are a problem solver with the ability to make decisions based on an authorisation framework
  • Your approach is hands on and proactive in seeking process improvement
  • Background in psychology, social work, mental health services then we would like to hear from you
  • You have a claims background with personal injury / exposure to Mental Health - highly desirable
  • Worked within a HR or Work Health Safety environment - highly desirable
  • Must be resilient and like a challenge

 YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop strong customer relationships and provide a high level of customer service
  • Engage in employer claims reviews where requested and maintain regular contact with the employer
  • Facilitation of appropriate injury management, including medical, treatment and rehabilitation requirements  
  • Independently manage a portfolio of claims
  • Preparation for and undertaking of work capacity assessments
  • Proactively proceed with appropriate case management
  • Manage the closure process for cases
  • Coordinate all services and support needed for crisis management
  • Supporting bereaved family members and people with complex / mental health injuries
