As a Motor Vehicle Loss Assessor in our General Insurance Claims division, you will be responsible for accurately assessing vehicles and to authorise repairs in keeping with the correct repair methodology and best practice principles. Whilst doing this, you will remain compliant with procedures, standards and values, as well as driving a positive customer experience and claim outcome. You’ll be working to minimise downtime of vehicles and machinery, identify development needs in the Zurich assessing network, and tailoring your approach to suit regional repair management issues and needs.

You’ll have obtained relevant trade qualifications, completed a Cert 4 in Vehicle Loss Assessing, and have extensive experience in repair shop operations and motor assessing. You will also have sound knowledge of motor vehicle claims/repair management strategy, and computer literate.

Experience aside, you’re a strong communicator, relationship builder, influencer; with good self-awareness and emotional intelligence. You’ll quickly realise the benefit of these attributes as you seek to establish and nurture critical relationships internally at Zurich and in the broader insurance assessing community. You will also be comfortable working on the road as you travel to do on-location assessments.
