Senior Underwriter - Motor

As a Senior Underwriter you will analyse and underwrite new and renewal business on highly complex assignments ensuring a high level of service to our customers. You’ll proactively seek renewal and new account opportunities, be accountable for Underwriting Result (top and bottom line), identify growth opportunities with key distributors, and cross-sell other lines of business to increase product density with the account.
 
You will also serve as a key contact for your assigned target accounts, assist in training and development of staff within your region, provide expertise on coverage issues with claims programs, develop and lead marketing presentations to new and existing brokers, and provide advisory services to colleagues on a daily basis.
 
It is expected you will bring at least 5 years of insurance experience in underwriting and sales, as well as your ANZIIF CIP Senior Insurance Qualification. You’ll use your specialised knowledge and expertise in products and industry, highly developed knowledge of commercial underwriting, ability to effectively assess risks, and outstanding communication and problem solving skills.
