About AFCA
The Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) will commence on 1 November 2018, providing consumers and small businesses with easy access to a single scheme to resolve complaints about products and services provided by financial firms.
AFCA will replace the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS), the Credit and Investments Ombudsman (CIO) and the Superannuation Complaints Tribunal (SCT).
About the role
AFCA and Randstad has formed a partnership and are looking to appoint a number of Team Managers to provide leadership and management to our new superannuation dispute teams initially commencing on a full time, fixed term contract through to 30 June 2020.
If you love problem solving and delivering quality and fair outcomes to the community, then this is the role for you. As team manager you are responsible for effective and timely delivery of case management across your team. This includes quality assurance, training, mentoring, management of workflow and performance of individual team members to ensure disputes are handled in accordance with our resolution process and meet our strategic measures. Working closely with Senior Managers, Ombudsman and other Team Managers you must be adept at achieving operational and business plan objectives.
Demonstrated Skills
- Extensive management experience within legal, financial and/or the superannuation industry including experience within dispute resolution sectors
- Demonstrated ability to be a strategic and effective leader ensuring delivery of team and individual KPI requirements
- The capacity to manage and review high volumes of disputes, deal with escalated issues in writing and by telephone whilst providing support and training to the team
- Be able to build strong stakeholder relationships and liaise professionally with others
- Tertiary qualifications in legal, finance and/or commerce highly valued
